Scientology helped me handle the ruin of my life. In the early 1980s, I lived a lifestyle that included drugs. I took most of the recreational street drugs. I was also ill a lot of the time and relied on pharmaceutical remedies such as aspirin, cough medicines, antihistamines and the like to get through the day. I knew I needed to change something as I was young but so unwell. Hearing about the Purification Rundown being offered at my local Church of Scientology, I decided to inquire. I learned that traces of drugs you ingest remain in the tissues of your body, as do other toxins and pollutants such as paint fumes and radiation. These can affect one both physically and spiritually in adverse ways. This was a revelation to me. So I began the program. It was done on a comfortable gradient and took only a couple of weeks. But when it was over, I felt fantastic! And best of all, I knew I would never suffer from the need to take drugs again. This made me realize that life would get better and better. And so it has. I am very grateful for the Purification Rundown developed by L. Ron Hubbard. I have not gone back to drugs as a solution to my problems and I do not even need medicine anymore. Today I am well both physically and spiritually, thanks to Scientology.
